The Cloud
No fetters no chains no bonds no reins,
mocking the creation like a lunatic’s laughter;
I float listlessly above the mundane,
unmatched in beauty, in spirit untamed.
They call me god and no wonder why,
coz I romp in heavens and rule the skies;
I can bid the Sun to scorch the plains
Or bless the earth with pleasant rains.
The million shades and myriad hues,
Give away my shifting moods,
I can cast the sky in grey and black
Or with artists flair can paint it red
With thunder, lightening and elements raw,
I play my games and inspire awe;
Now throwing the veil over shimmering stars
Or dressing the moon in wondrous attires
But behind the scene and inspiring façade,
Lies a desolate and weary heart;
That is trying to douse in the froth of fun,
The flames of lonliness that burn within.
A heart that seeks a friend above all
to frolic in rain and enjoy a stroll;
To share the heat and dust, the pleasure and pain,
the experience of life in its various frames.
